Introducing 2013: Armenia!

I have decided to take a look at each entry this year, in a lead-up to the contest! There are 39 countries participating this year, all aiming to win in Malmo (well, some don't wanna win!) Turkey, Portugal, Slovakia and Bosnia & Herzegovina decided to withdraw this year, which was a shame, so lets hope they'll decide to return for 2014! I have drawn all the countries randomly and today it's Armenia's turn...

Dorians - Lonely Planet!

There isn't many rock entries this year, which is a shame, but Armenia offers some great music! The Dorians will sing Lonely Planet in Malmo after being selected internally. That's not internally true - Gor Sujyan, the lead singer, was selected internally in January but eurovision.tv inform that he will participate with his band in Malmo - which is what he wanted, apparently  The national final was really poor and I think they selected the best song looking back - it was held 2nd March, which was a busy night as Estonia and Hungary also selected their songs too that evening. The song talks about finding piece, which is appropriate coming from that area of the world.

There's not much love for this one among fans, it's one of the least favourites with the bookies - it may not even qualify. Remember Emmy in 2011? It needs a good powerful stage performance if its going to do well. Armenia decide to return, as they withdrew from last years contest due to security issues. Albania is also in the same semi final, and that's clearly more popular so... If, and it's a big if, this does make the finale - I don't think this will be on the left hand side of the scoreboard - maybe I'll be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time!
Lonely planet!Who has done it? Who can save you? Who can stop it?

Another song from their selection, this was the favourite...

Apparently, the sent this song into the broadcaster last year but was turned down...
