Marco won The Italian X Factor and has also won the MTV Music Award for "Best European Act"! He is also set to release his third album in March, so maybe his ESC entry will come from that - his Sanremo but will not represent the Italians in Malmo it seems! I doubt I will be able to stay awake all night therefore I'll will catch up with all this in the morning! He is also likely to be victorious in Sanremo itself this evening!
The ESC act will be presented at around 1:00 CET and it;s gonna be Marco Mengoni, unless RAI surprise us with someone else like they did in 2011 where everyone thought Nathalie would represent Italy but RAI went for jazz singer Raphael instead...
Marco is extremely popular among Italians (he did win X Factor!) so maybe this could be another step forward for Eurovision in Italy! His Sanremo entry...
