I have decided to take a look at each entry this year, in a lead-up to the contest! There are 39 countries participating this year, all aiming to win in Malmo (well, some don't wanna win!) Turkey, Portugal, Slovakia and Bosnia & Herzegovina decided to withdraw this year, which was a shame, so lets hope they'll decide to return for 2014! I have drawn all the countries randomly and today it's Montenegro's turn...Who See feat. Nina Žižić - Igranka!
Montenegro is one of the only countries which has never qualified to the grand finale, but can they this year? Back in December it was confirmed that Balkan rappers Who See? will have the honour to represent the country, then a month later it was confirmed that Nina will join them on stage. Igranka was recorded in Belgrade and released 14th March through a specialised show, only shown on Montenegrin TV. Despite gaining negative feedback from many fans,, Igranka has almost had one million views on YouTube! I'm thinking this will qualify...
And I wouldn't mind that! It's a great song - I'm not a fan on the rapping, but I can live with that, and Jesus Nina's bit is awesome! It needs to come across well live though, and it would really benefit the threesome to have some kinda gimmick - it will stand out even more them. I have no doubts about Nina's vocal skills either. This years Montenegrin entry will perform between The Netherlands, a clear fan favourite, and Lithuania, which is certainly not a fan favourite. Is this Montenegro's year? Why not!
