Occhi Profondi is Emma Marrone's new single. The queen of Italian music doesn't disappoint - her new track is epic. This blogger can't help but wonder how she would've fared in Eurovision with a song like this.... Softengine's new song is entitled All About You & I. Another awesome song from these guys. You can buy it on iTunes here. Dinah Nah wants to taste your love. Yes, I'm serious. The Swedish singer released Taste Your Love earlier today. And finally, we have Alyosha's new song. Моё Сердце, which translates from Russian into English as My Love, is dominating the charts in Ukraine. The song focuses on love and fixing things then they've gone wrong. The video-clip is stunning. I'd love to see her back on the Eurovision stage one day..

NuVidz: Emma, Ruth Lorenzo, Molly, Softengine!
Some many awesome songs have been released recently. Firstly, the video-clip of Resta Ancora Un Po' has been released today and it's stunning. Emma's songs just get better and better. Gigantes is Ruth's new song. She's doing very well in the Spanish charts as it has already peaked at #6. This song is the second single on Planeta Azul - after her Eurovision entry. Great tune! Molly might have flopped in Copenhagen but this hasn't stopped the Leicestershire born singer. She's back with Lock Up Your Daughter. Sign up to her mailing list and you can download the song for free. Oh Molly, your voice is gorgeous. And finally, The Sirens is the third single on Softengine's new album - We Created the World. Some fantastic tracks on this album. I really love it. These guys are the best thing to come out of Finland since Lordi!

NuVidz: Softengine, Samira Said, Tanja, Nicole Scherzinger!
Yellow House is Softengine's latest single. A fantastic song - it's very similar to their Eurovision entry, which is noticeably Finland's best placing since 2006. This song could become a massive hit. Morocco have only entered Eurovision once, and that was in 1980 with Samira Said. She came 2nd to last, but this never affected her career. Samira has become a leading recording star of the Arab world. Her most recent song is Elly Benna. Despite being dubbed the dark horse of the competition, Tanja only managed to achieve 12th position in the semi-final. She released an acoustic and this blogger adores it. Amazing! Finally, we have a new song from the lovely Nicole Scherzinger! Your Love is slightly different from her usual style but very enjoyable nevertheless. It was filmed in Malibu!

Introducing 2014: Finland!
The Finnish representatives were chosen through the selection "Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu" (UMK) and this selection consisted of many great songs. The final itself was held on 1st February and Softengine won with Something Better. Softengine have signed an album deal with Sony Music - which is a great achievement as these guys are only between 17 and 19 years of age. I wasn't surprised when this won - it's a great song and I believe Finland will stand out in Copenhagen. However, did Finland have anything better on offer? Yeah.. Other favourites of mine included Hukka ja Mama, Jasmin Michaela and the lovely Hanna Sky. Although for me, there was only one winner and that was Mikko Pohjola. His ballad is spectacular. I cannot understand a word yet I adore this song so much... The juries would have loved this too and Finland would have achieved top ten, at-least! I'm curious to see if Softengine will qualify. I think it's borderline.

Finland: Softengine win UMK!

The Swiss national final is still taking place, I unfortunately couldn't get a decent stream so I've been giving all my attention to Sweden and Finland. Oh, and Latvia when Samanta Tina performed <3 I'm not sure how this will go do in Copenhagen - it'll probably make the final but then who knows? Maybe a result similar to Krista's...
Finland: Representative to be selected tonight!

The Finnish selection has been great - there have been many great performances in the semis/heats. Krista Siegfrids will give a special performance tonight. #TEAMDINGDONG! The outcome will be decided by televote and a jury. Personally, I wanna see Hukka ja Mama win!
- Softengine – Something Better
- Hanna Sky – Hope
- MIAU – GodDrug
- Lauri Mikkola – Going Down
- Madcraft – Shining Bright
- Mikko Pohjola – Sängyn Reunalla
- Clarissa feat. Josh Standing – Top Of The World
- Hukka ja Mama – Selja

Finland: Running order revealed!
YLE has revealed the running order ahead of Saturday's final. Eight acts are in the running to represent the country and I believe there are three main contenders - Hikka ha Mama, Mikko and Softengine.
The jury have a 50% say so I guess we can count Clarissa and Josh out - unless her vocals have really improved. The song has international appeal I guess but will the Finnish people like it enough to vote? I don't think so, although maybe they will if the performance is good enough. I would love to see Hanna win - but she hasn't got a good draw.. Hukka ja Mama is my favourite by far. Their song is so sweet and it would be fantastic to see the Finnish language represented in Copenhagen.

Finland: Lili Lambert eliminated, Softengine qualifies directly to the final!

A total of 6 acts performed where one act qualified directly to the final, one act was eliminated and four acts will take part in the second change round. I think the most underwhelming performance tonight was Dennis actually - it's a sweet song but the performance was so boring. Here are the results:
Qualified to the final:
- Softengine – Something better
- Dennis Fagerström – My little honey bee
- Jasmin Michaela – Kertakäyttösydän
- Hukka ja Mama – Selja
- MIAU – God/Drug
- Lili Lambert – Let me take you there
I'm disappointed that Lili has been sent home, but her song was boring and it wouldn't have stood out in Eurovision. My favourite from tonight was actually Hukka ja Mama. The second heat will take place next Saturday.
